Its Official... I am obsessed with Storybook Creator Plus 3.0

I never thought that I would go digital with my scrapbooking.  I am the kind of person who loves the kinetic aspect of traditional scrapbooks.  But I have to say that Creative Memories has really stepped up to the plate with there digital scrapbook line.    There are so many awesome features that I don't even know where to start singing the praises.  (And I am not saying this because I sell it, I sell it because it is that awesome!)

Things that set Storybook Creator Plus 3.0 apart from other digital scrapbook software:

1.  It is 100% customizable.  Just like in traditional scrapbooking you can choose your supplies.  Paper, embellishments, stickers, lettering, journaling..... it isn't just drag and drop.  You choose what you want and place it where you want it, making your album completely unique.  You also have the option of pre-designed pages, but even those are customizable unlike any other digital albums that I have seen.

2.  The Text Tools:  You can wrap text around ANY object.  You can even draw a line for your text to follow.  Want a wavy title... no problem.  Want to wrap journaling around a pic, no problem.  Want to cut a shape out and place the journaling inside... no problem there either.  Its the most versatile that I have seen outside of professional design programs.

3. Auto Populate:  This feature is great.... you select your pics from your memory card, Storybook knows which ones you took first and which ones you took last.  If you select "Auto Populate"  it will add them into your book IN ORDER!!  Talk about making that vacation album a snap!

4. Album resizing:  Want to make a 12x12 album for yourself.... but lets say that you would like to give one to grandma as a gift but are short on the cash.... Storybook Creator Plus 3.0 can resize your 12x12 to a smaller 8x8 without you having to re-do the work!

5. Facebook Uploads!!!  This is my all-time favorite feature.  I can make an album or a page print or a card.... anything really and upload it to facebook from the program!  I am so in love with this feature I can't even explain.  Now all of my awesome layouts can be uploaded without trying to figure out a good file size.

I will be doing all of my albums the digital way from now on.  To me, the best thing about digital is that all of the "supplies" that I buy can be re-used 100's of times without costing me any more.  When I sat down and compared the cost of one traditial album (~$200-$300) versus one digital album (~$50-$80) it really opened my eyes.  I can still play with paper when I make cards and other paper crafts, so my Cricut wont go to waste.... lol.

tri-fold Halloween

I had lots of fun with this.... All Paper Doll Dress Up die cuts. I used Glitter Glue and Stamps from JoAnn's. The paper is from my stash. The bubbles are Fiskars Rain Drops. I am very pleased with how this turned out. Hope you enjoy!

Twilight Bookmarks

They are hard to read... the quotes on them are (in no particular order):

Be Safe

Shall I explain how you are tempting me. --Edward Cullen, Twilight

And so the lion fell in love with the lamb...

Just because I'm resisting the wine doesn't mean I can't appreciate the bouquet. Edward Cullen, Twilight

Twilight

Team Edward

Tri-fold shutter card

I had been too afraid to try this fold for a long time. I got my scor-pal in the mail a week ago and pulled it out today to give it a try. I love that thing by the way... can't believe it took me so long to buy one. This may be my new favorite type of card. I used Life's a Beach Cricut Cartridge. Its lots of fun... You take a 5.5"x12" piece of card stock and score at the 2,4 8, & 10" lines. Then make opposite Mt-Valley folds..... Lots of fun! Thanks for looking!!

I am now a Creative Memories consultant.... again.

I have decided to start selling Creative Memories products again. I was a consultant in the past and had a hard time maintaining my business through several moves. But now I am stable in my location and I am going to start my personal business up again. I truly believe in the quality of CM products! I am especially in LOVE with the albums.... there is nothing else on the market that I think even comes close to CM album quality.

I hope you will help me in reaching my goal of $500 of retail sales in my first 30 days.

Please shop online at my Independent Consultant site: http://www.mycmsite.com/sites/amandam

Thanks in advance for your support!

Pink and Green Challenge

I made this great pink and green bookmark for the pink and green challenge at http://papercutzchallenge.blogspot.com/

The turtle is a SCAL file.... I didn't create it, but at the moment, I can't remember who did... will update that later. Hey... I hope I win the great prize! TFL!!

Here is a glass block that I did for my God-Daughter. I used Walk in My Garden & Wild Card. I filled the block with Christmas lights and green glass beads. I used Mod Podge Glossy to adhere the letters/shapes and to seal them. Usually you would just use vinyl, but I wanted to use a patterned paper, so I improvised. It is much more cute in real life.

I've been busy.... finally got some crafting done.

Sigh.... I've done it again

Well I made a resolution WAY back in January to post more and to craft more. And here it is almost June and I am back into a rut. I need to find one of those jobs where I get paid to make cards and scrapbook all day.... Ah what a dream that would be.

I am moving and getting married and life has just kinda taken over and left no time for all that I love in paper..... All my paper is packed up and will be moved shortly. The only bad thing about the move is that I am giving up my scrap room for an adult spare bedroom. I had a tendency to just close the door on my scrap room instead of actually cleaning it up....SO since the condo I just bought is only a 2 bedroom, and I will have to share my space with a new husband.... it just seems like the "grown up" thing to do..lol. I might change my mind later... but for now a full size bed will go in there.

So ANYWAY-- just in case there is anyone in the world following my blog..... I'll try to post some more stuff in June.... maybe wedding stuff.... but I am eloping so there won't be a whole lot.

Its Mine!!

Ok, so I just needed to share my addiction with all of you paper crafters out there. I am a Cricut addict. My latest addition to my collection is the JukeBox! I stalked it on Ebay and got it for $45.87 at the last second!!! (I feel that this is a justified buy considering the price at Michael's is Reg. 99.99) So hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will have some product to show.

Just like any addict I can justify--- so many other people are worse than me....

Pirate Pop Up Card

I did this a long time ago.... but I thought I would share. All of the die cuts are Cuttle Kids, and the tutorial for the pop up card can be found at splitcoaststampers...

Some of my latest stuff... nothing fancy

Hello All--
Here is some of my latest stuff. The O-Baby bag was made with George and Basic Shapes, for my friend's baby (go Bucks!) The strawberry was made with Indie Art in Design Studio-- the words are from Wild Card. Hope you enjoy. If you would like the cut file, comment me with your email address. Thanks for looking!!

New Year's Resolution

SIGH-- 2008 is gone and 2009 will probably fly by as well.
So, here are the things that I didn't do in 08 and will try in 09....

1.) Actually do some scrapbook pages... I am so behind. Mostly because I am having too much fun to remember to take pictures.

2.) Mail some cards.... It seems I always make them and never send them.... gonna need stamps.

3.) TAKE PICTURES!! both of my life and my projects

4.) Post more projects on the blog....

5.) Just flat out blog more.

Well wish me luck.... and have a very happy new year!
